If you are of a certain age, you might have fond memories of Ferngully: The Last Rainforest. Sure, it's preachy and cheesy, but it had at least 2 great things going for it. One: Tim Curry as the voice of Hexxus, and two: glowing plants.
Can you imagine a dusky summer night lit by one of these little beauties? Skipping across moonlit pools of water with the new love of your life, Zak...haha, I digress.
Tokyobling writes about how lovely they are in person, and the sad sad fact that Mr. Mushroom does not ship the frail little lamps.
The site for The Great Mushrooming is in Japanese but it's easy enough to guess your way around and see the different varieties he offers. Then who knows? Maybe your Japanese pen pal will pick one up for you at a craft expo next year.

Glances askance at my boots
Like there aren't already a million fun fae shoes out there, I present:
Spirocreations' totally great leather lace-ups. I will someday be able to justify a purchase like this, yes? Say yes.
I have a very normal looking pair of brown lace-up boots that I wear to work sometimes and secretly think of as my adventuring boots. As seen here in black, they are nothing out of the ordinary, but I really do get glances askance at my adventure girl boots! Can you believe it? I'm tempted to buy a pair of these and wear them one day. ✩

Goblin Fruit Winter 2011 is live
Goblin Fruit is live. What a perfect present for my long weekend.
Be sure to check out the new Artists' page, where you can see everyone who's contributed over the years. The art is always right up there with the poetry, for me.
Oh, and hello. I have been meaning to chat with you but I have been wandering the labyrinth called Overtime and have not had one.free.second. But this Goblin Fruit is a call back to the important things.
