We wants it

Oh yes, precious.

I heard about James Ewing, who is apparently a wizard and a magician (explain how else he came to create this) via Fae Nation. She posted a photo of this Radhost Complector and while I think it would be terribly dangerous, I still need to own it.

From the description on The Ewing Worship website:
The Radhost Complector shows its bearer the way to other world realms and planes of existence. Etched inside you will find many dead ends and oubliettes tempting you to stray from the paths that lead to Avalon, Atlantis, Asgard, Midgard, Helheim and tir Na Nog, home to the Fae folk and to the Cormon. But most important of all, you will find the path home. The pointer of the Complector is a shard of citrine quartz suspended in the middle of three spinning brass rings that revolve to show you where you are, or perhaps warn you that you are on the wrong path. The hand beaten spherical brass map is protected by a segmented layer of oak and then encased in a cage of dressed copper and brass. A small covered portal in the Complector' front can be opened in order to check your heading or you can open the top altogether if you are in fear of getting lost in the ether. If you intend for your adventures to take you to far off lands and realms of the unknown, or if you are seeking things most men fear to speak of, you will need to arm yourself with The Radhost Complector.

Yes, I am sure that I need it. And look at the rest of Mr. Ewing's enchanting creations and tell me he is *not* a wizard. Just try.

Steve Thomas

For those of you not aware, I have been at a new Office Job for 2 weeks now. And it seems that everyone loves hockey (this is Pittsburgh, after all). Well now, how is a girl to fit in at work when she doesn't give two hockey sticks about sports? I have the answer:

Guess who will proudly be displaying a Gondor Rangers' sticker (er...when she finally gets her cozy nook cubicle)? Aww yes. That is a team I can support. He's got the logos on hoodies, too! If you've got other allegiances, try out the other teams in the Middle Earth Hockey Association.

This genius comes from the mind of Steve Thomas, whose travel poster Sail under the ice of Neptune has been gracing my wall since spring. And just in time for my Christmas wishlist, he's come up with these beauties:

Rivendell went straight to my wishlist. *sigh* He's got a load of nerd stuff in his portfolio and in his Zazzle shop, including 1980s arcade game propaganda posters, fantasy-themed motivational posters, and even his commercial work is really fun to look at.

With this inspiration, we shall all excel at Mondays, yes? Yes. We shall.

What I wouldn't give to spend the whole weekend in this gorgeous faerie chair. Anyone know where this is from? The twirly swirly top is unbelievable.

Caterpillar Transport

How I'd like to get to work please.

This majestic sketch (from The Fairy Sketch Books of Iain McCraig on Endicott Studio has me wishing I could arrive at the office each day like this. It would prove I'm ready for a corner office. Just have to get a cubicle first. I'm on my way!

November Calendar

A bit of a late welcome to November, but not too late! Love this one.
