For those of you not aware, I have been at a new Office Job for 2 weeks now. And it seems that everyone loves hockey (this is Pittsburgh, after all). Well now, how is a girl to fit in at work when she doesn't give two hockey sticks about sports? I have the answer:
Guess who will proudly be displaying a Gondor Rangers' sticker (er...when she finally gets her cozy nook cubicle)? Aww yes. That is a team I can support. He's got the logos on hoodies, too! If you've got other allegiances, try out the other teams in the Middle Earth Hockey Association.
This genius comes from the mind of Steve Thomas, whose travel poster Sail under the ice of Neptune has been gracing my wall since spring. And just in time for my Christmas wishlist, he's come up with these beauties:
Rivendell went straight to my wishlist. *sigh* He's got a load of nerd stuff in his portfolio and in his Zazzle shop, including 1980s arcade game propaganda posters, fantasy-themed motivational posters, and even his commercial work is really fun to look at.
With this inspiration, we shall all excel at Mondays, yes? Yes. We shall.

ohhhhh...i love the idea of these "team" possibilities...like you, i don't give a flying walinda about sport, have no team allegiances, and am bemused by the fact that everyone around me seems to do so...this will give me a sly way to enjoy the endless football season...
