Confession. Well, it's not a secret, but a confession nonetheless. I am rubbish at responding to comments. But I can change!
Perhaps my problem is that there are so many ways to contact people. Do you prefer to be emailed? Want me to comment on your blog? Comment back to you in my own comments? No response necessary? Obviously if all someone says is "That's incredible!" (which is a completely valid comment! keep commenting...) I'm not going to feel the need to respond with a lengthy email about why it's so rad. But what do you think? How do you respond? Do you respond to blog posts? I'm more used to Livejournal, where you can comment directly on someone else's comment below your post, and have threads. I think I prefer that, but I'm keeping Folk and Fairy here.
Maybe I'll make it prettier.

Hello! This is my first time commenting here, but I wanted to say something because I have the same problem on my blog.
Its hard to reply to every comment, but I've found a great plugin for Wordpress that does threaded comments like livejournal! http://meidell.dk/archives/2004/09/04/nested-comments/ it makes replying so much easier. Hope that helps!

I find it perfectly acceptable for you to leave a comment here. In that way, everyone can see the progress of the conversation, in case they had similar comments or suggestions. Plus, I think most of us check back here often enough that it wouldn't be too much trouble to look. ;) I, too, like the format of LJ, but I'm used to blogger now, and that seems to be the way things are done.
I too came from the lj way of dealing with comments. I just try to email everyone back who leaves more than a one word reply. Either they respond or they don't, you know?
I feel the same way. It's like, when people comment on my blog, the only rational response I can come up with is "Thanks!". I really mean it, but I don't like to bother going through all this trouble just to say "Thanks!" to someone, unless if they are really, really nice. <3!
